Our Family Guardians of many family pets, we currently live with Katy and Woody, spoiled golden retrievers, and two foster cats; Milo, orphaned on a remote beach and Lindy Lou, rescued while crossing I-75.

Humane Society Canine Coaches We have cared for many cats and dogs. However, as certified Mutt Strutters, Matchmakers and Canine Coaches by the Humane Society of Manatee County, we have specialized in rehabilitating and training abused and neglected dogs so they may be adopted into permanent loving homes.

Pet CPR and First Aid To provide us with emergency skills, we have been certified in Pet CPR and First Aid by the American Red Cross.

Ph.D. Wildlife & Fisheries Science While pursuing graduate degrees, Casey studied a wide variety of wildlife from Florida's wading birds to Alaskan Brown Bears.

Certified Wildlife Rehabilitator As manager of the Conservancy's Wildlife Clinic in Naples, Florida, Casey rescued and rehabilitated hundreds of wild animals - including over 60 species of birds and mammals. She was certified as a Wildlife Rehabilitator by the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council.

National Disaster Animal Recovery Team Members We both serve as National Disaster Animal Recovery Team Members of the Humane Society of the United States. As team members, we are often on standby during major disasters such as hurricanes and fires throughout the United States.

Humane Education Specialist Casey has received humane education training by the Humane Society of the United States that includes successful completion of multiple classes and exams. As humane educators we offer humane animal education classes for young students. Additionally, we are avid readers of books and journals regarding pet care, health and welfare.
